Development of a modular UI library for the ADVOS BK300.
Since 2024
ADVITOS – UI Library for ADVOS BK300
CONZE worked with ADVITOS to develop a modular UI library for the ADVOS BK300 medical device. This device is used as part of a holistic therapy approach for extracorporeal blood purification and multi-organ support.
The project aimed to develop a reusable, high-performance and scalable library to serve as the basis for the entire user interface of the device.
The library contains approximately 50 control elements in various forms, including dark and light variants and alarm modes. It serves as the foundation for all user interfaces within the system. In addition to standard components, such as buttons, cards, and status displays, we developed complex custom controls, including a graph display with autoscaling and multiple interfaces, as well as a pressure bar with an integrated alarm system and limit value visualization.
For validation and quality assurance purposes, a systematic test environment was created that maps all components and variants in various usage scenarios.
Our partner, WILDDESIGN, developed the UI design, which CONZE then consistently implemented as QML components.
Challenges
Integration of the UI library into the customer's existing system architecture
Implementation of multiple design variants (dark/light, alarm mode) within a uniform component base
Ensuring high performance and smooth usability on embedded hardware
